A great family boat - fishing, tubing, cruising • 4.7m De Havilland Sea-master. Fresh integrity check to hull by Aqua-tec – a few welding repairs, all rivets wire brush cleaned, crimped and epoxy coated. Very strong plate hull, fully ribbed below the water line with ported pressed aluminium thick walled ribs and with riveted hull plating. Nice straight hull all round. Heavy duty stern with 2 step treads built-in for climbing back into the boat from the water.

Two rear live bait tanks are no longer used as such, but are great storage and good seats for 2 bums. Front anchor well. Good lengths of robust hand rail. Front anchor guide and bollard. New marine ply floor with NEW marine carpet 12 months old.

The paintwork is chipped up close, but it’s tidy. It’s not a young hull (unsure what year) but it’s solid, and it will still outlast its Yamaha engine - cosmetics don’t catch fish. You only need this radio by law if you’re going more than 5km offshore, which I didn’t do. I’ve always had great iPhone coverage from Optus even 5 kms out. The bimini can fold down easily and be zipped inside a cover. We have set the bimini position to give better clearance for me, two sons, and a grandson, all of us being between 185-199cm tall.
