Boat And Trailer (Stacer 480 Boat + Belco Trailer + Seized Motor)

This boat/trailer/motor is relisted because the winning bidder was not able to obtain finance. Up for sale is a Stacer 480 boat, a Belco hinged trailer and a seized motor (non-operational) that were all purchased together in approximately 1994 by ourselves (one owner). More info on the history/condition of the items is provided below. The boat is located in Mount Ommaney, Brisbane and pickup/transport is at the buyers cost entirely. We welcome inspections (before or after sale) if you would like to determine a suitable transportation method.

The boat is in reasonable condition and is still very presentable. It was purchased with the trailer and motor in approximately 1994, and was used for approximately four years until the motor seized while out on the water. The boat and trailer have been garaged in a large shed since then. We estimate the boat did around 20 trips (mostly at Jacobs Well near Brisbane). The hull is in good condition with just normal wear and tear evident.

The carpet and canopy are in reasonable condition and have come up fairly clean. The boat is unregistered. The original anchor and chain are included in the sale. The battery case and battery are not included (even though they are pictured), and the rear lounge seat was discarded years ago. The boat is 2 metres wide at the widest point near the back.

I can not reliably measure the canopy width. The hinged Belco trailer is still in presentable condition. The boat sits nicely on the trailer, however the trailer can accommodate larger boats if need be. The rollers are showing their age but appear functional, and the leaf springs have some surface rust. The wheel bearings were fully replaced and repacked in early December 2018.

The trailer lights were tested a week ago and were all fully functional (indicators, brake lights, tail lights). It has a 7-pin round plug. The trailer is unregistered and the number plate was handed in to Queensland Transport. The trailer was put up on blocks when the motor seized, and it has the original tyres which have a very reasonable amount of tread remaining. We put the wheels back on about a month ago to prepare for sale and take the photographs outside.

The boat is back in a large shed at present to keep it out of the weather. The trailer VIN is 6H9T22000R2NN4057 if you want to organise day registration for transport. The motor is a 40 HP fuel injected Evinrude. It was out of warranty when the motor seized up. We had it checked back then, and a marine mechanic recommended that the head be replaced rather than repaired.

We did not have it repaired or replaced, and it has remained on the garaged boat. The motor is included in the sale - we can not remove it and we do not want it left behind in the shed. The motor has an ID plate, which says Model No HE40TLEOD, Serial Number G03730134. Extras included are: Workshop Manual and Operational Manual for the motor (as pictured). Pick up from Mount Ommaney, Brisbane after payment is received.

We would prefer pick up within 2 weeks of sale, though we understand that some bidders are interstate and we can negotiate if needed. Please note you may also inspect the boat/trailer/motor after purchase, to determine whether you would like to tow it home or have it transported. I am not a mechanic and can not make a reliable determination on whether the trailer can be towed safely - although I have no reason to suspect otherwise. It was fully functional when garaged years ago, and the wheel bearings were fully replaced in early December 2018. As far as we know, this is a nice presentable boat that hopefully you will get a lot of enjoyment out of.
