2004 SEA RAY 180 SPORT BOWRIDER This is an excellent example of Sea Ray's Bowrider boats. I purchased it in 2010, and it has been my pride and joy. Reason for selling is simply that I just don't have the time I wish I had to use it as much as it deserves to be used. It is under a cover in front of our house and is simply being wasted. Ok, the story.
I purchased this from the USA and personally organised to ship it to Australia. Whilst this went quite smoothly, it was a tedious process fraught with risks. The biggest hassle, though, was when I got it here I had to re-engineer the trailer for Australian laws. This was all done professionally. The boat includes the trailer that is registered till November 30 2018.
Boat is registered till February 2019. Details are that it is a 3.0 (4cyl) Mercruiser that is perfect for towables and wakeboarding. Our kids love it - are very upset that I'm selling it. Coming from Outboard motors that I used to have, I was not sure if the 4 cylinder engine was powerful enough. Well, simply it is.
I would never buy the 6cl version as it is not needed for what I do, and just costs more to buy and run. It has done genuinely only 66.6 hours. When I purchased it only 26 hours were on the clock so I've averaged a disappointingly low 6 hours per year since I've had her - very sad I know. Only 21 hours ago (about three back) new risers were fitted at a cost of about 2k. Since then I had her serviced as needed and have recently had the brakes - hubs, bearings etc replaced on the trailer and it tows behind the car very well.
As can be seen from the pictures, the boat is in very good condition. I do not have a garage that the boat could fit in so it has been out on the street under a cover. I have today given her a clean up with the high pressure cleaner and she came up nice. A full detail (that I don't have time for) would see it looking first class. I will include the Navman fish finder.
It needs a new bracket, but I've managed to get it to sit in the cockpit ok. The trailer is a swing away drawbar to fit into a garage easily. Lights are submersible LED's. It is advertised elsewhere (on the street with a 18k sign on it) so for the right offer I will sell it. This is a bargain at the starting price.
I will not sell it for less than the reserve - which is the starting bid. I am after a quick sale, and open to offers, but won't give it away. The reserve price if you've been looking for a while you'll know is an absolute bargain. Happy for inspections - which I recommend - no water tests though UNLESS you are really keen and need to. Some sort of serious deposit though would be needed.
I don't have the time to waste doing that. If I did I would be taking the family out and using it myself! :) For the purchaser, I will obviously take out and fully orient them to the boat. Thanks all, and please ask any questions you have. I will answer to the best of my ability.
