1986 Savage Marlin Boat · 6.4 metres, Fibreglass Hardtop · Powered by a 270 HP V8 350 Magnum Mercruiser with Vortec heads and Alpha One Drive Leg, with stainless steel exhaust risers. It was originally fitted out with a Mercruiser 4cylinder fresh water cooled inboard 210 hp motor and leg which was the original motor when delivered to the NSW Water Police by Savage Industries.*** This removed running engine and leg is also coming up for sale as part of a large volume of marine motors soon *** · The engine has only been run for 9 hoursEngine serial number: OC621399Transom serial number : OC742813Drive serial number : OC 733652 · In preparation for the installation of the new motor/leg; the transom, motor compartment stringers and the floor was completely replaced. It was hauled out, craned onto a hardstand then soda blasted up to the gunnels to remove marine growth, then repainted with 3 coats of 2 pack epoxy marine primer and 2 coats of High Opacity White topcoat.New Antifouling was then applied prior to putting back on the launch trailer. The boat requires new gunnel rubbers to be fitted. The original rubbers were in poor (semi solidified) condition.We can carry out these works for prospective buyers if required at cost The cost of the restoration works (including motor/leg purchase and installation) was well in excess of $13,000.
