Savage Dolphin 5m Half Cabin Runabout With Tohatsu 9.8HP Outboard

Savage dolphin fibreglass runabout with outboard motor and tilt trailer for sale. My husband bought this boat used in 1996 he thinks. We used it quite a bit and bought a new Tohatsu outboard for it, but then soon after due to his age he found getting it on and off the trailer too hard and it ended up parked at the back of the house under a tarp where it's been ever since. He's finally decided he's not going to use it again so it's up for sale. The rego sticker on the transom shows it was last registered in 2004.

The motor is in excellent condition. It's a long shaft 9.8HP Tohatsu we bought new from the dealer in Manly. The Dolphin requires a long shaft outboard and it was delivered this way. We estimate it's probably only done about 70 hours max, and as far as we recall hasn't ever broken a shear pin. It's set up with electric start and wheel steer.

We have the owners manual for it. The boat is in OK condition but it does have a few flaws. Most of the hull is fibreglass and this OK, but most of the timber panel inserts are in poor condition. These look to be fairly easily replaceable however. I don't see any sign of fibreglass delamination.

There's no drivers seat but the passenger cushions are there. The drain bung is missing but these are easy to replace - search "boat bung" on classifieds board. The trailer is OK but needs work. There's a significant amount of rust present however from what I can see it doesn't look too deep and would probably clear up OK. I haven't tried tilting it recently, nor have I tried the trailer winch.

The trailer was set up with a detachable wiring but this needs repair. The trailer isn't registered and probably hasn't been since 2004. The tyres are not great but are holding air.
