Quintrex Tinny 14 Foot 25 Hp Mariner Outboard Electric Start - Bargain

RELISTING DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER I am selling my much-loved 14 ft Quintrex tinny at a starting price of $1 in order to see her go to a good home. She's a solid boat, with a good – but old – hull. Boat is registered until October 2022. Trailer registered until November 2022. The engine is currently not running.

I have just been to Chelsea Yamaha and Rob there has written an outline on what needs to be done to get her up and running. You should bank on spending over $1500, which when you add it all up, will still get you on the water at a good price. An alternative is to simply buy another outboard, new or used. There are plenty of items that come with this sale: Seatrail trailer in good condition with spare tyre (please see note in the photos about the bearings), Garmin 350C Fishfinder, life jackets as pictured, anchor, oars, rod holders. The steering mechanism is old-school but effective.

The docket from Chelsea Yamaha says it's a Savage, but it was sold to me as a Quintrex (I bought it second-hand) and I believe that's what it is, although I can't see any markings on it anywhere. As per above, it's an old hull, with paint peeling off etc, but it is actually really solid. It's got a front bench seat (I can't add or change the photos now sorry) and a rear bench seat.

It's licensed for four. Please also note that on the docket, Rob's put a question mark after the point about repairing the trim support, as he didn't price that up. It could be expensive, I'm not sure. You will spend at least $1.5k repairing it, and possibly more. So PLEASE BID WITH EYES WIDE OPEN.

Boat must be paid for and picked up from Malvern East shortly after auction ending. Best of luck.
