Vintage Stuart Turner Boat Motor

Welcome to my auction for Stuart Turner P55M boat motor. This is a twin cylinder 2 stroke developing 8bhp traditionally used in older wooden ( displacement hull ) boats. It has an integrated forward/neutral/reverse gearbox and features inbuilt bilge pump. The motor runs as it should and gears select positively. Comes complete with fuel tank, copper exhaust system and water plumbing, bronze stern gland, bronze sea cock, bronze 3 blade propeller, brass water outlet and brass propeller shaft.The motor was originally used in 24 ft.

Clinker but the shaft is in two sections to enable shortening or lengthening as required.This unit is ready to go straight into a boat but would also suit the enthusiast collector, you just find them like this anymore.I have more photos which were apparently too many pixels (?) to upload.
