1986 Savage Marlin Boat- Ex NSW Water Police Boat · 6.4 metres, Fibreglass .Powered by a V8 350 Magnum Mercruiser with Vortec heads and Alpha One Drive Leg, with stainless steel exhaust risers. It was originally fitted out with a Mercruiser 4cylinder inboard 470 motor and leg which was the original motor when delivered to the NSW Water Police by Savage Industries. The engine has only done 9 hoursI'm planning for retirement. Selling off some boats/smaller yachts and a 33 ft houseboat we have in our yards to fund some rather large project yachts that need to be moved into the space that these boats currently occupy for completionThe hull integrity is in excellent condition, like all of Joe and Jack Savage boats, it is without compromise. It was originally used as a NSW Water Police Boat (the previous owner worked in the Central Coast Water Rescue unit and was very fastidious with all he did as the file that will be supplied upon sale will testify) The head is installed within cabin. The vinyl seats, cushions and the rear canopy are in good condition; having no tears, stains, etc Comes with radio, outriggers, vests, fishing poles holders, toilet, roof solar panel (charges house and cranking batteries), etc The boat registration expires on 15th July 2019 The boat has been well looked after and is in good condition, however the topsides are in need of a repaint to bring this old beauty up to awesome condition, but is not in any way critical at this stage, simply a cosmetic need if required. This is a moored boat. It was recently lifted out, craned onto a hardstand then soda blasted up to the gunnels to remove marine growth, then repainted with 3 coats of 2 pack epoxy marine primer and 2 coats of High Opacity White topcoat.The Mercruiser leg will be sodablasted and a fresh new coat of 2 pack paint will be applied for the new owner.Has a Teak duckboard ( not shown in photos ) that has been sodablasted clean and will be recoated with teak stain and refitted The boat requires new gunnel rubbers to be fitted. The original rubbers were in poor (semi solidified) condition.

The cost of the restoration works (including motor/leg purchase and installation) was well in excess of $13,000. A comprehensive file with all receipts and paperwork are included in the sale). ***This excludes the recent sodablasting and painting of the hull** In preparation for the installation of the new motor the transom, motor compartment stringers and the floor was completely replaced. The engine was completely rebuilt by a Mercruiser motor builder. The marine carpets were replaced on completion of the new motor motor/leg installation Trailer is dual axle trailer and is unregistered as used only as a haul out trailer.

It could be registered again with a little work. The trailer is not included in this auction but can be negotiated for a reasonable cost if required by new owner.I will also consider transferring the pole mooring it sits on at Woy Woy Channel to the new owner This good old school outside boat is great for game or bay/river fishing or water sports. The boat is located in Woy Woy, NSW. We can facilitate cranage and also transport by professional boat movers if required (at buyer’s expense), or put it in the drink at Woy Woy (3kms away) and you can motor it home wherever you live.
