Product Type: Sailboats
Roberts 38ft Offshore Yacht 1981. Built with steel hull material, this center cockpit yacht offers a spacious layout for comfortable living / cruising on board. With some work needed, this yacht is a great project for someone looking to personalize and restore. The yacht was purchased approximately 7 years ago by my company, pulled out of the water, and stored at a storage yard located at Huskisson NSW, however, due to busy work schedule, followed by Covid restrictions, we were unable to spare the time to remediate back to its former glory. I haven't visited the yacht since it was taken to the storage yard so expect to add some additional "weathering /deterioration" to the description.
The yacht was purchased through a broker & the brokers original add description is as follows: Things to know & do1 Steel repairs to hull mainly below (see note)2 Diesel dead not running 3 Needs batteries & electric check4 The solar panel was removed & disgarded Now the good news 1 Multi use live aboard cruising etc2 Built in Newcastle (NSW Hunter) in 19813 Quality wind power generator4 Quality wind vane auto steering with blades5 S/S rail & life lines mast steps s/s rigging 6 Cockpit dodger fixed good for sun & rain7 Anchor winch radios (Not tested)8 Australian registered ship & expired NSW Rego9 Anchor comes with large amount of chain10 Looks like pro build & fitout of this yacht11 Can sleep 6 people masters cabin in stern12 Rig & mast setup as cutter or sloop atm13 Enclosed private toilet in bow area14 Ice box ships clock stove metho twin burn15 Twin spinnaker poles & frames sunshade16 large useable deck space in bow & stern17 Twin furling headsale The photo's depict the Yacht prior to being taken out of the water, and whilst being craned onto the stand at the storage yard. Note: "Found a few welds to do though nothing major the hull to the waterline looks good too, however we have found rust in the bilge & engine bay & there may be more we have missed this means welding repairs out of water". Condition of sale:The winning bidder owns the yacht once payment is received. Payment to be finalised within 24hrs after auction ends. The winning bidder to do their own due dilligence & organise removal / storage options.
The Yacht is stored on a stand at the boat storage yard. The Yacht needs to be removed upon sale, unless otherwise agreed with the storage yard. Storage fees will be paid up until the sale date. The purchaser is responsible for any storage fees from the sale date onwards & or any transport costs.I am not a Yacht person, the description is the best that I can assertain from my limited knowledge of yachts and based on the description when purchased
