Condition Description: 
Hull condition is excellent. Some soft spots in fore deck, but not terrible. Interior has been badly freshwater damaged and requires replacement. Engine and gearbox are in place , but will require overhaul. Sail exist, but are of unknown condition.

******************* NO RESERVE AUCTION ****************** Things you need to know: This boat has been out of the water for around 15 years, and has been mixed up in a couple of deceased estates and wild dreams. It needs someone to see what she could be again. The hull is perfect. The interior is a write off - it is freshwater damaged, and is a charter yacht layout that would be difficult to live with anyway. The floor plans that will you find online do NOT apply to this boat.

It was one of 2 specially built and sent to Queensland as charter yachts, where they performed these duties for many years. I have the sails off it in storage - may be useful for measuring for new or possibly repairable. The engine is a venerable old Ford Lehman/Lees 80hp. These things run forever. I have no idea of the current status with the engine,but would suggest that an overhaul is likely necessary.

You will find old stories and adverts online relating to this boat dating back into the 90s, talking about it circumnavigating etc - I doubt that it actually did, but it certainly spent time up in Asia. This boat was built in the Tai Cha shipyards in Taiwan in 1978 - similarly to the Tayanas, Universal and others. It is designed by Robert Perry. The hull on this old girl is perfect The boat is located at Montys Marina, Beachmere, Queensland on the shores of the Caboolture River in the long term storage. It can be inspected there during working hours.

Storage at the boatyard is $680 per calendar month (very reasonable for Brisbane and surrounds!) I bought this 12 months or so ago with all of the best intentions, but living an hour and half away and working FIFO has not seen it eventuate. My intention was to renovate the interior, and get her back into the water again and then deal with rigging etc - it would be an awesome floating home - or if you can bring her back to life an absolute battleship for offshore passages with a remarkable Perry pedigree.
