Junk Rig Yacht, Project Boat, Benford Hull "badger" 35'

The design is the Benford Dory as featured in Annie Hill's book, "Voyaging on a Low Income". Ashiki is a live aboard cruising junk rig in need of TLC. The hull is good, the superstructure and deck has patches of rot. Sails have seen better days, they will need to be replaced eventually, but they are a design which can easily be home made. (Junk rig sails still work even in bad condition) Interior has mould that needs to be cleared out.

It includes head with composting toilet, a galley with twin Origo methylated spirits stove. A dinette with seating for 4. The boat has 4 berths including a double in the bow. It is the complete live aboard and suits someone who is prepared to have it on the hard and work on it to make it their own. 3 Anchors, 2 long anchor rodes, a Raymarine tiller pilot (not sure if it is still working), and one Tohatsu 6hp 4 stroke outbaord which has a stuck throttle (not able to start).

This boat uses an outboard well (no diesel) and any long shaft outboard up to 15hp should fit. Boat is moored on the Central Coast NSW. (Transfer of mooring to new owner's name is possible)
