A TRUE CLASSIC TASMANIAN MOTOR LAUNCH/MOTORSAILER.
Built by a local timber merchant from Tassie's renowned Huon Pine using the best grades available at the time, for Hobart's Lord Mayor, then refitted in1982 and further upgraded in 2012 with all necessary works undertaken to restore her to being once again a comfortable vessel that can provide much pleasure cruising local waterways or undertaking major coastal trips Comfortably appointed to accommodate 4 persons, the boat also has a fully enclosed toilet, good saloon area utilising the engine box as a tabletop, then a great wheelhouse with wheel steering. Two berths are in the for'ard cabin and the two settees provide additional berths The cockpit has external seating for passengers when underway or relaxing at anchor. The boat performs well under its Perkins 37hp diesel motor (refurbished in 2012), cruising easily at 7.5 knots. This is a great opportunity to purchase a vessel with a rich history and will still turn heads when cruising our waterways. This vessel will provide so much joy to its new owners, and would also be perfect for a live-aboard situation.
The vessel is extremely warm, dry and filled with light. The vessel is sold in as-is condition and all wooden boats require ongoing maintenance and attention. Inspection is possible by arrangement. This is an absolutely beautiful vessel. Located in Hobart, Tasmania.
The vessel has participated in the Australian Wooden Boat Festival on three occasions. A very well known and well regarded Tasmanian vessel, you are buying an important part of Tasmania maritime history.
