Product Type: Sailboats
Due to an inconvenient stoke recently, it is time to move this lovely little boat on to a family who can give it the attention it requires, and the fun that can be had with it.The boat has given me and my family some terrific outings on the Gippsland lakes around Loch Sport and further afield. It is currently located in Loch Sport. It would be ideal for a father and son team who would tidy it up and enjoy the fishing, exploring and sailing. It would benefit from an upper deck refurbishment but the hull looks fine.I believe there are two sets of sails and all fixtures that are attached to the boat are there such as the tiller, mast, boom etc.It has an electric panel ready to wire in lights, radios etc. It has a working electric bilge pump as well as a manual pump.Flares are included and I believe they are in date. There is a bag full of rigging ropes and the necessary oars etc.The boat can be purchased as boat only or with the outboard included. The outboard is an 8 H.P. Mercury longshaft which is the recommended setup for this boat.I purchased the outboard from as elderly gentleman with a verifiable maintenance history and an instruction manual. The year is 2008.The trailer will need some repair and repainting. I did not bother about it as I was going to purchase a second hand trailer to suit.
The boat and trailer tow very well.Included with the sale is a second boat, also a Hartley, I think TS16 but may be an 18 footer. I am not sure how to measure them properly. It is in need of work but comes with sails, mast, boom etc. That could be used as spares. It also has a trailer but I am unsure of the condition as I have never given it a good look. The boat in the photos is registered build number 844 and is known to the Hartley TS16 Association.
It was built in Tasmania by two well known shipwrights. The price of the boat pictured is $600 O.N.O. And I have priced the outboard at $600 also.I do not want to separate the boat and outboard. The other boat can be purchased for $100 only.I can be contacted on phone with any queries and, as indicated, the boat can be picked up in Loch Sport. In precis, this will get you on the water for summer with minimal cost and would become an excellent father and son bonding exercise.Thank you for taking the time to look and good luck. The TS 16 Association can give information on the build as they have it documented.
