Evinrude Johnson 15Hp 2 Stroke Outboard - 1985 Model Completely Reconditioned!

With much pride we offer this 15Hp Johnson 1985 Specification 2 cylinder, 2 stroke outboard, complete. It has just undergone a full recondition, revocation and update, originally a 9.9Hp 1979 Model it took four 4x other units as parts to piece together this one off workshop project. Restored by a Qualified Marine Engineer (semi retired) back to pristine condition with no expenses spared. (refer list below) It is fully tested and run in ready to go. Happy to hook up to the tap and run for demonstration.

This is a rear offering - Work carried Out. (over 95 Hours of T.L.C in this one). Power Head - 2.188"Standard Bore Block acid bathed and etched then line Honed .0025" to perfect circle.Standard Pistons (perfect used) with new rings, Big & little end bearings, New Wrist pins & Clips fitted.CDI-2 Unit Complete fitted, replacing the old Points/Magneto System.New Main, Top, and Mid Bearings replace with all new Seals through out.High Compression Head with New Head Gasket fitted and tightened down to Spec..15Hp 25mm Throat Carburetor fitted with re-synchronized Linkage.ALL Carburetor Parts & Gaskets replaced Incl Fuel Float & Needle & Seat. ALL bolt holes and threads (every one of them) cleaned of 30 Years of corrosion greased and restored.ALL Gaskets & seals replaced with NEW through-out.ALL Water Jackets removed, cleaned and Etched.ALL Exhaust Housings and Water Jackets Cleaned and etched.New Fuel Pump Kit Fitted.New Water Pump, impeller, Seals and grommets ReplacedNew Gearbox top Seals replaced.Gear Box Rebuilt (2x) Gear Box Final Drive bearings and seals replaced.Just about everything else, like fixed the Tiller Arm linkages, the Claw mechanism fixed, the Claw screws fasteners changed to NEW, etc, etc... Tuned to factory specifications and idles like a kitten. (20 deg BTDC).

And the Nice bit, Engine, Case, Leg & Gear Box all Painted with two Coats of Acrylic Enamel and Clear Top Coat - Detailed with Red.Has a 24Litre Genuine O.M.C Metal Fuel Tank & OMC Fuel Lines and fittings for complete Authenticity. In Short basically its a New Outboard, with a classic Vintage look and a Surprise Kick of Grunt - Water Tested to 6100 RPM on 12"Savage Tinny.
