Cobra catamaran for sale, the boat is ready to sail. If you think you know boats and want to kick tyres on the day you pick it up don’t bid, you are bidding to buy. This is the third time the item has been listed, dreamers that think they are getting a perfect boat on a trailer for under $500 need to be realistic, if you aren’t you are simply wasting your time and more importantly my time. Be realistic the boat is not perfect and may require a tidy up. 1st buyer $370 never even looked at the boat, they called after winning and when I described the boat they were only interested in if it was glass or timber, when I said it is a timber composite boat they said ‘Ow but I wanted a glass boat….’ Relist 1 Second winner, $355 came around the day the listing ended pressed the hulls a bit (2 minutes) and decided it was too soft on the front of one hull and that it was not the boat for him, not before trying to knock $100 more off the price.

Before we begin for the 3rd time, the boat is priced accordingly and if you cant afford to pay for the item it may not be for you..... I want it gone as I’m redeveloping my garden and no longer have a place to store it. This coupled with the difficulty in the river I’m prepared to take a loss. Lock this in Bid to Buy! The boat is in reasonable condition, the trampoline is in good condition with no rips. The sails (Mainsail and Jib included) are in good condition.

The hulls are NOT PERFECT but they are structurally sound, they could use another coat of paint but not urgent. This is a timber boat built for racing (light weight is the aim not bulk strength in non-essential areas aka resort boat), the hulls are not rock hard in all areas, areas designed to bare weight are solid! Noting that my time and yours are valuable, if you want to come and look before bidding I may be able to organise something. The trailer is unregistered it was last registered in Victoria, the trailer condition is average but fit for purpose. I purchased the boat before Christmas $700 and planned on using it in the local river; however, it is simply the wrong boat for that job as it is super-fast and not built to rub on the many oyster covered rocks or sandbars.
