A delightful 1980 Trailer Sailer with Classic lines A highly suitable boat for Moreton Bay, sails well and sits flat when beached. Day sailing or weekender, with bunks for 4 and a PortaPot, small ice chest built in, a sink and a space for a stove, a cartridge cooker is included. Electronics include a bilge pump, control panel for lights. A nice Lowrance Elite 5 HDI, combo sounder, GPS and map. This is linked to the Cobra radio for position reporting or instant 'mayday' call with automatic position reporting.
Known as DSC (a radio license required for this function) There is an EPIRB, in working condition, however it needs a new battery for re registration. The mast can be single handed raised using a track guide I have made up and the trailer winch. 4 Sails, I believe these to be: Main, Jib, Genoa, Spinnaker, has spinnaker pole. Fenders & life jackets. The motor is a 1986 Johnson 8 horse, runs well, has a power outlet that I have never tried.
Recent impeller and a new Genuine OMC throttle cable just fitted. Trailer is galvanised 4 wheels. Wheels have 'bearing buddies' fitted to axles, wheels are galvanised with a complete spare wheel. Trailer brakes are mechanical discs fitted to the front wheels only. Hubs are galvanised.
There are 2 winches, a 3 way Jarratt with a near new belt. A model 912 electric winch with a a special cable for mounting to towing vehicle's battery, never been mounted. Trailer also comes with a light board and heavy tie down strap. Trailer is NOT registered, condition wise I would expect there would not be any problem to get registered. The yacht is no longer registered, however if buyer was to scale down the outboard to a 6HP, registration would not be required in QLD.A current model Yamaha 6 HP 4 stroke motor is available by negotiation, only been run in for an hour on a dinghy.
Minor cosmetic work needed to finish, however seller has suffered a medical incident and is unable to do any more work. Inspection highly recommended, I am not in a fit state to organise a trial sail. Specs for the boat can be found here: http://www.johncrawfordmarine.com.au/trailer-sailer/library/cat_view/27-trailer-sailer-library/95-clipper-21 The start price, I believe, is around half the boat & trailer's true value, good luck Can be contacted on phone no TXT
