Boat Motor. Yamaha 40 Hp, Tiller Steer Outboard

Yamaha 40 HP Outboard Tiller Steer, paint in overall Great condition as can be seen in the pictures and clean as anything under the cowl. The motor has stood for a some time with with the same fuel and was unfortunately not emptied before I moved to Sydney. It starts ok after a couple of pulls with new fuel, and pumps water like a train (see photo’s)but will only run for about 10-15 or so seconds and then stalls. I am not a mechanic so I don’t know if it is the fuel pump or if it is just that the Carb’s are gummed up but I don’t know how to service them, so would only mess it up. I am told by the mobile outboard mechanic today, that this is likely the fuel pump and is fairly common.. I am currently in Sydney and the Outboard is at my house in Brisbane, so am limited on what I can test I am changing to a four stroke with electric start and electric trim, so this motor will be sold as soon as I can, as I have run out of space.

We are going Diving overseas on the 25th of Feb until the 4th of March, so pick up will need to be after the 4th of March. I can get an old pallet to ship if needed from Bunning’s, but any additional wrapping, packing and shipping will need to be at buyers expense. The motor is sold as is and where is. Please don’t mess me around, I just do not have the time or energy anymore. WILL TAKE SERIOUS OFFERS, WE ALL KNOW WHAT THIS IS WORTH, I AM JUST 1000 KMS AWAY AT THE MOMENT.
