5.5m Fibreglass Hull Half-Cabin Cruiser - Unfinished Project

This 5.5m fibreglass boat features a large half cabin with seating and bow hatch. A new transom, all steering and motor control cables, some life jackets and other items, plus the original post seats. I bought this boat many years ago to work on as a project but family and work and moving house made it difficult and now it's time for someone else to pick up where I've left off. I got as far as cleaning it up a bit and removing some fixtures, and then removing the rotted rear floor ready for replacement with new marine ply. However now, weather has compromised the main timber runners in the rear base of the hull so these would now need replacing and re-glassing as well.

The hull itself is solid except for one small crack on the starboard aft side which would be easily repaired with a fibreglass repair kit. It would also need a new paint job as it is currently faded and dull. Once restored, this would be a great sea-going boat that is steady in the water due to its fibreglass weight. It is not registered (nor can I locate papers) and hasn't been for many years, but the previous registration number is visible so could be used for re-registration perhaps. It also comes with a homemade tandem trailer that could use some new tires and a bit of a service.

It also is not registered (expired 2008) however still has the original plates on it. I also cannot locate the rego papers for this trailer (too many house moves) but happy to provide my drivers licence details as part of the sale for ownership validation. ## Note: ## I also have two old Johnson 115hp SeaHorse MagFlash CD outboard engines available separately (see my other listings for details) if you are interested. I purchased these with the intention of mounting one to the boat and using the other for spares. This is because one of the motors is blown.
