Description: 

The yacht 'Desiree' is a Bill Bollard designed Currawong 40ft steel sloop rigged sailing boat. Built by Boambee Marine in 1975. The boat has a forward double berth cabin, to the rear it has two "coffin" berths and the dinning table converts to another berth. The boat is in dire need of a complete refit, see photos, the last time it was out of the water was over three years ago. The hull is sound and I have photos of sand blasting and painting when it was out last.

It has a full set of sails, all in good condition. Main, Genoa, Asymmetric spinnaker, Storm jib and Tri-sail, as well as boom bag for the main. I have all the sheet winches and anchor windless. It has a Kodan colour radar and sounder, Icom HF and GME VHF radios. 80hp Perkins 4 cylinder diesel.

It has a 6ft (1.8 metre) draft and 12ft (3.6 metre) beam. It is registered on the Australian shipping Register O/N 374651 and NSW registration ADD536N.I have owned the boat for 22 years. Bringing it down form Townsville to Sydney. I have sailed it to the Whitsundays, several times, Lord Howe Island, twice, as well as going out to New Caledonia and Vanuatu, Tana, Port Villa and Espirito Santo.The boat is on a mooring in Gunnamatta Bay, Port Hacking Sydney.
