16ft Corsair Sailing Dinghy

This 16ft Corsair is in good condition for its age (70's/80's) and is ready to go sailing. The mainsail has one reefing point and the headsail can be rolled up with the Ronstan furler. A plain wire forestay is also included. All of the mainsail and headsail rigging is there except for a vang. The centreboard is aluminium and its swinging action is controlled from the cockpit.

The galvanised trailer (rego S74011) is in very good condition and a spare wheel is included. The trailer is registered until January 16, 2018 and the most recent renewal cost was $64. There is a spinnaker pole, but there is no spinnaker included in the sale. Two timber paddles are included and they can be stowed under the foredeck. A North Shore dinghy mainsail is also included and it may work as a spare although it has not been inspected or fitted.

There are some dings, scratches, cracks and crazing, but the hull is in overall good condition. The mast and boom has been painted white over black and the white paint is gradually peeling off. Some of the cleats and deck fittings require maintenance and a small amount could be replaced, however the dinghy can be readily sailed as is. There is a heavy duty storage tarp included in the sale and it covers everything except for a small section of the mast and trailer. I have been sailing with children and mates and this very stable dinghy has been a lot of fun.
