Featured Refinements: Punt
I have up for auction my Brooker 12 Foot Punt. It was customised by Terry Ward marine services in Leeton for freshwater use.It has been fitted with: An electric motor bracket,Transducer Bracket, Bilge Pump Piping, Battery Bracket, Navigation Lights, Front spot lights, Switch Panel, 12v socket, Carpeted marine ply flooring and storage, Padded Removable centre Seat with internal storage,Rod holders,Cup holders, Custom Made Bimini Cover.I originally purchased the boat on a rusted out trailer with no motor as part of a deceased estate 5 years ago. Apparently the punt was initially set up with a depth sounder trolling motor and lights for night fishing. The trailer it came with was unrepairable. As we back onto a waterfront reserve I purchased a trailer that would allow me to launch it into Oyster Bay using my ride on lawnmower as the tow vehicle.
The trailer is adjustable and can take up to a 16 foot boat. The rear duel wheels also articulate into a taller position if required. The trailer also has a removable duel jockey wheel at the front, this makes retrieving the boat very easy, as you just push the trailer into the water and float the boat on before pulling it out.I purchased the 2.5 Suzuki 4 Stroke motor in March 2016 as an unwanted prize. It has only had around 6 tanks of fuel in it and comes with a tool kit, operation manual and repair manual on CD. The motor runs flawlessly and presents as new.The punt is rated up to 20 hp, however the Suzuki 2.5 does us fine as we usually go up the river and fish under como bridge and the woronora river.
We have had myself and 4 teenagers in a few times and the boat handles it just fine.I had the Bimini custom made for the boat in 2016 when I bought the motor and trailer. The Bimini cost $800 and is made with thick canvass. The boat also comes with an anchor, rowlocks, 2 oars and two child life jackets. The seats are comfortable to sit in as is the padded bench seat and has everything you need for a fun day on the water. When I bought the boat, the wiring was heavily corroded, so I removed it. We only use the boat in the day. If you wish to use the boat at night the wiring would need to be reinstalled.Ideally this boat would suit someone who lives near or on the water. The boat trailer cannot be registered even though I have taken it up the street to our local boat ramp.If you would like more horsepower you could very easily sell the Suzuki 2.5 for good money as a lot of people are after these motors as auxiliary power for yachts and tender boats. The boat is registered until 15th January 2022We have had a lot of fun in the boat and would like to see it go to a new family that will enjoy it.
I have advertised the boat elsewhere so the listing will be removed if the boat is sold prior to the end of the auction.Inspections are welcome, contact Aaron through classifieds board if you wish to have a look. Please only bid if you intend to buy. Good luck and Happy Bidding!
