Apologies to those who were unable to progress their offers before Xmas due to the gear shift problem. Out of respect for your interest and time I am relisting it again before relocating it to the Gold Coast if not sold. We enjoyed another great New Years Eve on the boat before I had it into the repairers when they returned after their break. A broken gear shift linkage was identified and replaced with a brand new part along with the anodes. The ad: Selling our Carver Montego cruiser due to lack of use now that I'm based back on the Gold Coast.
It is moored on a rented mooring in Lavender Bay adjacent to Luna Park with great views of the Harbour Bridge. An outstanding position to watch the New Years Eve fireworks as the last photo demonstrates. The boat was fully serviced April 2015 and new risers and manifolds fitted along with any other parts required (receipts provided). New canvas and clears were also fitted at the same time and other work carried out including new marine batteries (solar on the hard top to keep them charged). I also fitted a new fresh water pressure pump and engine bay blower.
The boat comes complete with everything you need for a day on the Harbour or overnight stays. Including: V berth forward double berth in rear of cabin. Lowrance sounder/GPS, epirb, life jackets charts/maps marine radio. Bedding, cooking, eating and drinking implements, stainless gas bbq etc.It has a small fridge and two small eskys to keep the essentials cold. TV and radio Included is the RIB inflatable and Yamaha 4hp outboard (requires a service) What it needs: a good clean (I had the hull pressure cleaned) anchor winch serviced fuel and temperature gauges repaired The marine toilet has been removed and a camping cassette type is being used as it is easier to empty on shore.
The listed price represents a substantial reduction on what it has cost me but common sense says sell it to someone who will make good use of it rather than just let it sit idle. The mooring is paid one month in advance and can be taken over by arrangement with Sailcorp who own the mooring and provide a tender service to and from the boat and a shower and toilet facility on shore. They can also provide other maintenance services if required. They arranged the recent repair, towed the boat to the repair location and ferried it back to the mooring in my absence. I will be back in Sydney if all goes to plan and available to show the boat to serious buyers on Sunday afternoon 12 February.
The asking price is better than realistic. So, please, no swaps or ridiculous offers. If you choose to throw in low ball offers you will understand and accept that I won't reply. (far too many time wasters last time) Any questions please ask.
